The Museu de les Ciències has become a reference point for interactive science. Its main objective is stimulating curiosity and critical thinking and at the same time surprising and amusing the public by its contents from the world of science, technology, and the environment.

Access preferences
- Accesible parking (Parking)
14 reserved parking spaces on each floor of the Umbracle underground car park. Access to the Museum via four adapted lifts.
- Circulation accessibility (Getting around inside the museum)
Toilets: six adapted toilets with grab bars, accessible toilets and adequate space for manoeuvring. Four of them located on the ground floor and two on the first floor.
Lifts: two large-capacity lifts (35 people or 10 wheelchairs), plus a panoramic lift that requires staff authorisation.
Exhibition: Interactive modules with access ramps and spaces with no slopes.- Conferences (Complementary Offer)
During these years, the Museu de les Ciències has become a prominent forum for hosting a wide variety of scientific conferences.
It has even become an international reference center by hosting important events such as the 5th Euro-Mediterranean Summit, the International Astrophysics Congress “100 Years of Supernova,” the Meeting on Desertification in the Mediterranean Region, the 57th International Astronautical Congress, and the 27th Plenary Meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change of the United Nations, among others.
Additionally, it maintains a close collaboration, with frequent personal and material exchanges, with the world’s leading scientific museums.- Experimental Classrooms (Education)
These classrooms are dedicated spaces for conducting more systematic workshops and demonstrations. In “Science on Stage,” for example, the audience can enjoy spectacular, participatory, and fun experimental demonstrations to learn basic scientific principles.
- Restaurant (Food and allergies)
Located on the ground floor, our restaurant and cafeteria have an accessible itinerary, without slopes, and with homogeneous, non-slip flooring. Homogeneous lighting ensures good visibility.
- Wheelchair accessibility (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)
Access: entrance with no slopes, non-slip flooring and staff available to assist visitors.
Reception: counters adapted to a height of 75 cm for preferential service. Direct access to the exhibition area by lift, on request to the customer service staff.
