Vapriikki is a versatile museum centre located by the Tammerkoski river, offering something to see and experience for the whole family. You can explore over ten exhibitions all at once. History, natural sciences, and technology – that’s what makes a great museum center!Access preferences
- Guide and assistance dogs welcome (Animals)
Guide and assistance dogs, as well as properly marked dogs training for these tasks, are welcome at Vapriikki. Due to allergies, personal pets are not allowed in the museum.
- Guided tours available (Group and Tours)
We offer tours in plain language for groups. A wireless sound system can be booked for the group upon request.
- Induction loop (Acoustic Experiences)
An induction loop is available for users of hearing aids at the information desk. The sound is clear and of a suitable volume, with no interference between the speaker and the listener.
- Parking options (Parking)
There are parking spaces close to the museum entrance with stair-free access to Vapriikki. The museum has one separate parking space for those with disabilities.
- Wheelchair accessible (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)
The museum is wheelchair accessible and elevators to other floors of the building can be found in the lobby, at the end of the long main corridor, and in front of the Collaborative space Kupla. Vapriikki has four floors. Wheelchairs and strollers can be borrowed if needed, near the cloakroom. Folding chairs are also available. Please ask our staff for assistance.
