Accessibility for Visitors with Personal Assistant (Admission)

Personal assistants accompanying visitors with disabilities are granted free admission upon presenting a valid assistant’s card.

Easy to bring children (Children friendly)

There is a pram car park under cover outside the museum. Locks can be borrowed at reception. Changing tables in the large toilets in reception, by the foyer and by the lunch room. You can eat packed food in the packed lunch room where there is a microwave and water. There is also a separate, slightly quieter room.

The museum is generally quieter on weekdays after 14.00.
Guided tours booked before 11.00 offer exclusive access to the exhibition spaces.
Visitors sensitive to flickering lights can ask reception staff for guidance to avoid those areas.

A hearing loop is installed in the Grand hall.

Films in the museum are subtitled in both Swedish and English.

Wheelchair accessible (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)

All public spaces are wheelchair accessible. There are two lifts, one big and one small. With these you reach all levels. As the house is old, there are some sloping parts in the exhibits. They are marked with white markings at the beginning and end.
