At Nordiska museet you can explore the life of people in Sweden and the Nordic countries from present day and all the way back to the 16th century. Welcome to the iconic museum building on lush Royal Djurgården in central Stockholm, in front of the Vasa Museum.Access preferences

An accessible restroom is located on Level 1, a short distance inside the accessibility entrance, opposite the museum shop.

- Parking options (Parking)
There are a limited number of parking spaces near the museum. Disabled parking is available on the northern side of the museum facing Strandvägen. Note that Djurgårdsbron (Djurgården Bridge) may be closed at certain times. Exceptions apply to taxis, public transport and vehicles with special permits.
- Wheelchair accessible (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)
There is an elevator available to the exhibitions. A ramp is provided for access to the restaurant and some of the exhibitions. There is an accessible entrance to the right of the museum’s main entrance from Djurgårdsvägen at Level 1 and one in the courtyard. We have wheelchairs available for loan. Please contact a museum host or the reception.
