Moderna Museet is one of Europe’s leading museums for modern and contemporary art. They collect, preserve, share and exhibit modern art from the early 20th century and photography from 1840 and onwards.

Accessible toilets (Accessible restrooms)

Large accessible toilets are available on all three floors

Available wheelchairs and folding chairs (Getting around inside the museum)

A wheelchair is available for loan. Please ask at the information desk. Folding chairs are available to borrow near the exhibitions.

By car, bus, metro, boat or foot (Getting there)

Bus 65 stops at Moderna Museet on Skeppsholmen. Blue Line (Kungsträdgården), approximately ten minutes away. Red line (Östermalmstorg) is approximately fifteen minutes away. The Djurgården ferry runs throughout the year from Slussen, calling at Skeppsholmen.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs welcome (Animals)

A water bowl for your dog is also available in the Coffee Bar.

Hearing loops and ear defenders (Acoustic Experiences)

Hearing loops are available in the Auditorium and Cinema. Set your hearing aid to the “T” position. For those who need to block out sound, ear defenders are available to borrow at the information desk. Leave an ID card as a deposit. We have ear defenders for both children and adults.

Parking options (Parking)

General parking outside the entrance facing the water. Parking fee. Parking for the disabled outside the main entrance and the entrance facing the water. Taxis can stop outside the entrance.
