The Fishing Museum is located at the port of Palamós. You will find a permanent exhibition, our fishing boats, Documare (our documentation center of the fishing and the sea) and the headquarters of the Chair of Maritime Studies of the University of Girona (UdG). Documare (Library)

This specialized library and research center offers information, advice and technical and documentary support to research and outreach initiatives aimed at investigating, knowing, disseminating and putting value on the coastline, sea fishing, its heritage and its people.

Free admission for children (Children friendly)

Free entrance every first Sunday of the month, except July and August. Children under six enter for free.

Multisensory elements on the boats (Multisensory Experiences)

The possibility of getting on board into a public accessible boat is a challenge for the senses: the instability of a boat, the smell of a machine room, the impression of a small, distressing space, the perception of the seafloor or school of fish through a depth finder, a radio conversation, the touch of a fishing net ... these are sensory elements that bring people closer to boats and reinforce the Museum's discourse, making it more understandable and participatory.
