Inclusive workshops (Workshops)

The realization of inclusive workshops achieved the promotion of the social and educational role of the museum with an innovative approach to children with disabilities, as well as changing the attitude and awareness of other children about equal treatment, regardless of differences, and creating a museum space without obstacles. By actively involving the child in the educational process, the opportunity opens up to learn with understanding and through play. Therefore, educational workshops are tailored to the specific needs of target groups and the educational level of participants.

Sign Language (Sign language)

The Smart Video Guide application in sign language is installed on tablets as part of the museum’s permanent setting. This has improved the social position of deaf and hard of hearing people who, within the concept of an inclusive society, are more effectively included in modern social trends.

The application contains a story about the history of Leskovac in sign language supported by a text segment and photographs of the exhibits of the permanent exhibition.

The project was realized in partnership with the City Organization of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Leskovac and the National Museum in Leskovac.

Tactile experience (Tactile Experiences)

The tactile exhibition is intended for accessibility to cultural heritage and people with impaired vision by adapting the permanent museum exhibition to blind and partially sighted people. In that sense, a tactile exhibition was prepared with 19 replicas of selected exhibits from the museum’s collections with the aim of contributing to the social integration of the blind and visually impaired through accessibility to cultural content.
