Archaeo-Ethno Park

The Archaeo-Ethno Park is located in Ravna 8 km north of Knjaževac, in the yard of the old village school. The main idea of the Archaeo-Ethno Park was to present significant archaeological findings from the Timacum Minus site and to illustrate the ambient of the XIX century patriarchal village community with residential and commercial buildings as its parts.

General accessibility (General)

The gallery of the Homeland Museum of Knjaževac in Karadjordjeva 15 has an access ramp and is entirely accessible to people with reduced mobility, and when needed, a smaller mobile ramp is installed in front of the gallery.

Guides (Acoustic Experiences)

For visitors with impaired vision there is an audio guide in Serbian and English and a printed guide in Braille, but due to the structure of the space and physical barriers, it is necessary to plan the visits with a companion. It is possible to touch certain items and replicas.

Mobility (General)

For visitors with reduced mobility there are virtual guides on tablets which enable the browsing of the parts of the museum exhibitions inaccessible to persons with reduced mobility. In the objects of the museum in Karadjordjeva 15 and the Archaeo-Ethno Park in Ravna there are mobile assembly ramps which enable access to certain parts of the museum exhibitions.

For visitors with impaired hearing there is a video guide in sign language.

Tactile visit (Tactile Experiences)

In all objects of the museum there are monitors with touchscreens in accessible places which enable the tour of museum exhibitions.

Web accessibility (Web accessibility)

For the Archaeological site Timacum Minus and the Archaeo-Ethno Park in Ravna a special application has been made for Android devices in three languages (Serbian, English and German) which can be downloaded from Google Play Store, and the plan is to place interpretive boards in the three languages (Serbian, English and German), and a part of the information can be obtained by scanning QR codes placed in certain places.
