Kaunas Museum for the Blind
At the Museum of the History of the Blind in Lithuania, visitors are invited to examine works created by visually-impaired and blind folk artists, the audio equipment used for reading publications, touch-based models for the blind, samples of products made by companies staffed by the blind, and literary works written by blind authors. Most of the exhibits can be not only viewed, but also touched.Access preferences
- Collection (General)
The Museum’s collection consists of authentic documents, publications, samples of items produced by companies staffed by the blind, teaching and compensatory tools for the blind, handmade works, photographs, negatives, video and audio compact discs, personal possessions of the blind, and models of the Vilnius Cathedral and the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.
