Hamburg (Germany)

Internationales Maritimes Museum Hamburg / IMMH

At a historic site in the heart of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, in the beautifully restored Kaispeicher B warehouse, the sea comes alive – and everything that goes with it. On nine floors, aptly named decks, the vast freedom of the water, the development of shipping, and the emergence of global trade routes are within easy reach.

Photo and Video allowed (Photography)

Tours with headphones (Acoustic Experiences)

We value good communication and want to offer clear and understandable content within the building. If you contact us in advance, we can offer all tours with a tour guide system. This allows you to receive the tour directly via headphones, even over greater distances, and understand it better.

Understanding (Easy Read & Understanding)

It is important to us that information is presented in an understandable way for all visitors and that we enable individual experiences. Therefore, we promote information in our exhibition for people with dementia, people with learning difficulties, and people with limited German language skills.
