Museo de la Alhambra

The Alhambra Museum occupies the South wing of the ground floor of the Palace. It is distributed in seven rooms arranged chronologically, dedicated to Spanish-Muslim culture and art. It was created in 1870 to guard the numerous archaeological testimonies collected by the Provincial Monuments Commission. In 1994 he was assigned to the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife.

Access preferences

Assistance dogs (Animals)

Assistance dogs can access the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and Generalife and Andalusian Monuments. Likewise, the entrance of therapy or social support dogs is permitted when the corresponding accreditation granted by the competent body is provided.

Physical Accessibility (Accessibility)

The free access to architectural barriers of the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and Generalife, and the possibility of circulating through the different spaces without inconveniences or obstacles, are essential conditions for achieving full accessibility, which is being worked on.

Special services (Complementary Offer)

A card authorizes drawing/painting in the spaces of the monument that the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife has established for this purpose.
Only filming and photograph sessions whose content and values are consistent and compatible with the historic-artistic character of the Monumental Complex will be authorized. The Public Visit and Commercialization Service manages filming and photograph sessions for commercial purposes.

Visual Accessibility (Sign language)

The Alhambra continues working to make the Monument more accessible. For this reason, some “touch points” have been installed on the public visit itinerary so that people with visual impairments.
