Universeum
At Universeum, we explore our world through science, technology and mathematics. The experiences provide knowledge about everything from atoms and artificial intelligence to ecosystems and equations. We place this knowledge in a larger context, in an interdisciplinary perspective that helps children, young people and adults understand how the world is connected and how it works. With knowledge and understanding comes the desire to act for a sustainable future. So when our visitors have a really good time at Universeum, they are also doing something truly important. For themselves, and for their world. Each visit also gives us at Universeum opportunities and means to, through experiences, increase people's scientific capital, preserve biodiversity and research lifelong learning in science, technology and mathematics.
Access preferences
- Accessible toilets (Accessible restrooms)
Accessible toilets are available on all levels. A toilet with ceiling hoist can also be found on level 5. Please bring your own lifting sling.
- Children welcome (Children friendly)
Universeum is adapted even for the very youngest. Don't miss the Miniverseum, a world of its own for children aged 0-6 and their adults!
- Guide and assistance dogs welcome (Animals)
Trained and clearly identified guide dogs and assistance dogs accompanying visitors are permitted throughout the building. If you wish to visit our Rainforest zone, you must register your visit at the information point so we can provide assistance..
- Hearing loop (Acoustic Experiences)
Our rainforest has a hearing loop installed. Tactile script and a QR code for spoken information in Swedish can be found at some locations.
- Miniverseum (ages 0-6) (Children friendly)
Miniverseum is our large little world for all little explorers. We provide an introduction to biodiversity and sustainable development for children aged 0 to 6 – the next generation of innovators, biologists and decision-makers! Together we will learn how to take care of our planet and everyone who lives on it.
