At The Workers Museum you can experience everyday life in 1950s Denmark and you can visit the apartment of the Sørensen family who moved to Copenhagen in 1885. You can explore the development of industrial work and step in to the lives of working class kids in The Workers Museum for Children.

The museum has an entire wing for children called "The Children's Workers Museum." Here they can play, touch and experience their way into the lives of working-class children from the time when their great-grandmother was a child.

Wheelchair Accessibility & door sizes (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)

It is possible to borrow a narrow wheelchair at the museum. The width of doors at the museum varies: The doors of the lift to the permanent exhibitions can accommodate wheelchairs up to 80cm wide, whereas the entrance to the café and beer hall is only 75cm wide. The doors of the lift to the lower floor and the balcony of the Assembly Hall are 98 cm wide, making it possible for wheelchairs wider than 80cm to access the special exhibitions and – with this lift – also the Assembly Hall and exhibitions on the first floor.
