Basel Historical Museum with its 3 houses is committed to barrier-free access, as well as to the encounter and togetherness of people with and without impairments.

Technical equipment is available in all three houses: For guided tours, a microphone and headphones are used (suitable for induction loops), thus significantly improving the acoustics. The media stations are designed for hearing loops (t-loops) throughout.

Not accessible for wheelchairs (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)

There is a threshold to cross in front of the entrance. The exhibition area can also only be reached via steps and there are numerous stairs throughout the museum. The building has no lift and is not wheelchair accessible. See also Procap access monitor (German only)
