Access preferences

Admission is free for care partners (Special Assistance)

Recipients of a Swiss disability pension pay a reduced admission fee. Admission is free for care partners of people with disabilities who cannot visit the museum alone. Special preparations for your visit can be made on request.

Descriptions (Acoustic Experiences)

For blind or partially sighted visitors, tours are available with detailed descriptions of works, in a language according to their needs.

Dog sitters (Animals)

Dogs are not allowed inside the museum, with the exception of guide dogs.
 
We will be happy to connect you with professional dog sitters who will take your dog out to explore the picturesque landscape around the Fondation Beyeler and the Berower Gut while you visit our exhibitions.

The Fondation Beyeler is an open and active museum that promotes access to art, cultural education and experiences, as well as interpersonal encounters.

Sign language (Sign language)

For people with impaired hearing, we offer  tours accompanied by sign language interpreters.

Special tours (Group and Tours)

On request, we can also prepare special tours and workshops for people with cognitive impairments or with a dementia.

Sustainability (Environmentally responsible)

The Fondation Beyeler is committed to conducting its activities in a sustainable manner and therefore endeavours to handle natural resources with care and to reduce its ecological footprint by means of effective improvements.

Wheelchair use (Accessible entrance for pushchairs and wheelchairs)

The rooms of the museum have parquet floors, the access ramp to the museum is made of stone slabs, and the courtyard around the Villa Berower is paved with cobblestones. The paths in the park are made of fine sand and gravel but are suitable for wheelchair use.
